The Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat is dependent upon the generosity of the community to help support its services and programs.  The Retreat is primarily state funded, but a portion must come from private donors and fundraising events.  The Retreat is extremely grateful to all its past and present supporters.  Thank you.

Provide a written letter stating who the donation is in memory of or in honor of.  A receipt will be provided to the donor and a letter of acknowledgement will be sent to the family being remembered or honored.

Many companies offer matching gift programs that double and sometimes will even triple your donation. It's a wonderful way for you to help the Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat reach it's goals.

Check with your human resources administrator and see if you have a matching gifts program.  If so, ask your human resources administrator to provide you with a matching gift application.  When you send in your donation to the Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat include your completed matching gift application.

A gift of insurance is quite simple to set-up.  The owner of the policy and/or beneficiary is listed as the Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat.

The Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat accepts gifts left in an individual’s Will.  A bequest through your Will provides continuing support of the ongoing work of the Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat.

Nobody looks forward to preparing their last Will and testament.  But the fact is that if you do not prepare a Will, the state must do one for you.  Chances are that the government's priorities are not the same as yours. Each person's Will is a testimony of values held. 

A Will provides an additional opportunity to include the remembrance of a favored charity.  Not only is it your right, exercisable by will, to distribute what is yours as you wish, but, by the same will, you can choose to benefit a charity such as the Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat. 

It is in your power to make a gift that goes on doing the good things you believe in, long after your death, thus serving as a living memorial through support of the cause or causes to which you are dedicated.

If you would like to consider making a planned gift donation to the Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat, it is imperative that you carefully word your document.  The specific language is as follows:
I give, devise, and bequeath to the Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat, the sum of $______ to be used for the general purposes of said association.   (or otherwise describe the gift.  Often a percentage of the estate is designated.)
